Multidyne Introduces the DTV-4200 at IBC 2006

Multidyne’s DTV-4200 4-channel SDI and audio fiber-optic transport provides state-of-the-art performance with built-in SDI frame synchronizers. The system will support four SDI, 16 audio, or eight AES/SPDIF channels. A 1RU modular tray will house up to three DVM-4200, DVM-8200, or DIM-8200 cards.

The DTV-4000 supports 24-bit stereo audio flat from 20 to 20kHz with S/N greater than 90dB and THD less than 0.05 percent. The systems support 110/220VAC and optionally, 48VDC. The optical budget exceeds 30dBm.The system is available with 1310nm and 1550nm wavelength lasers for WDM application. Coarse-Wave Division Multiplexing is available with 1470nm, 1490nm, 1510nm, 1530nm, 1550nm, 1570nm, 1590nm, and 1610nm wavelength lasers.

Applications include links from studio to transmitter (STL), studio to studio, studio to CATV headend, distance learning, satellite up and down links, common carrier transport, telco circuits, intelligent transportation systems, and backhaul feeds from special events.
