Amtech Pro Audio chose Allen-Heath's ML5000 to handle FOH and provide multiple monitor mixes at Real Life Community Church.

Amtech Pro Audio recently announced the installation of a new Allen & Heath ML5000 48-channel VCA mixing console at Real Life Community Church in Portage, Ind. "We get more than 1,000 churchgoers every Sunday, and we have an eight-piece pop band performing, so we needed something that sounded great and could handle FOH while also providing multiple mixes for monitors, stereo in-ears, and recording," says Amtech's Tom Dalfonso. "The ML5000 fit the bill perfectly and stayed inside our budget."

Depending on the song, the band has between two and six lead singers, presenting the mixing engineer with a challenging monitoring scenario. Dalfonso uses the ML's aux mixes on faders feature, pioneered by Allen & Heath, to provide individual monitor mixes for the performers as they come and go on the stage. According to Dalfonso, "The ML has amazing sound quality. And for our dome-shaped, all-wood church the board lets me craft a superb sound space."

Amtech Pro Audio's Contracting Division provides complete audio, video, and security solutions to customers such as contractors, construction and project managers, architects, and engineering firms, as well as individual users.
