Dan Radin and Dawn Birr
Hard work, a great attitude, and proven communication skills have paid off for Dawn Birr and Dan Radin, both of the marketing team at Sennheiser Electronic Corporation. Birr was recently promoted to the newly created position of industry team leader, Neumann and all distributed brands (except Turbosound), while Radin will report to Birr in his new position of product manager for HHB, Rosendahl, and Australian Monitor brands.
In her newly created position, Birr will have primary marketing responsibility for Neumann, True Systems, Klein + Hummel, HHB, Rosendahl, and Australian Monitor brands. For the past six years, Birr has held a variety of positions at Sennheiser, each with increasing amounts of responsibility. She began working in a temporary position then moved into the operations group, where she quickly gained recognition for her warm personality and excellent organizational, communications, and customer service skills. In 2001, Birr was promoted to product manager, Neumann. In tandem with her career at Sennheiser, she pursued a graduate business degree, earning an MBA in 2005.
"Dawn's rise within our company is an inspirational example of a high-quality individual getting in on the 'ground floor,' so to speak, and working her way up to key positions on our team," notes Jeff Alexander, Sennheiser VP sales and marketing, professional products. "The best part is that she's done it with a smile on her face and a genuine willingness to successfully take on difficult assignments. I really enjoy the opportunity to promote from within our organization and applaud Dawn on her outstanding accomplishments."
As for Radin, he'll begin his responsibilities as product manager on March 1. In this position, he'll provide a wide range of product support services for three of the company's most acclaimed brands. Prior to joining Sennheiser, Radin received a Bachelors of Music from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in music business/management. He also completed a marketing internship with The Avedis Zildjian company. A practicing drum teacher, Radin's knowledge of the music business will serve him well in this demanding new position.
"Dan has proven himself to be an integral part of the MarCom department and his communication skills, product knowledge, and background in both marketing and music is an excellent fit," Alexander says. "We're certain that the D&D Team is going to make a formidable pair in the months ahead!"
