Elan Home Systems Launches and Sells Out New Week-Long, West Coast Dealer Training

Elan Home Systems announced that yet another major new training initiative for its dealers has launched and sold out. The inaugural week-long, large-scale West Coast training event, held in Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Resort and Hotel July 24 - 29, was oversold with 120 Western and Mountain region based participants in attendance. Beginning in 2007, this full-scale training will be held regularly at sister company Linear's headquarters, located in Carlsbad, Calif., which will become the permanent home for Elan's West Coast Training Program. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, Elan's executive vice president of sales and marketing.

The new program has been modeled after Elan's long-time successful Headquarters training held twice monthly in Lexington, and includes Elan sales, technical, and sister company Sunfire training, and boasts utilization of sixteen fully outfitted racks for hands-on learning and real-world troubleshooting. Three of Elan's sales managers, three regional technical associates, and Elan's national training manager were at the sessions the entire week to work closely with Dealers.

"Elan's Western and Mountain regional teams have been providing dealers with in-field training in the territory for years," Starkey says. "We believe it is of utmost importance to maximize the number of training opportunities we can offer, and have recognized a growing need to reach more of our dealers throughout the country with our Headquarters program. The full-scale training gives our Western-based dealers the ability to spend more hands-on time with the Elan team, helping to ensure that they will achieve maximum success with our products and company."
