CodexNovus, innovator in standalone and networked media server products, announced the release of its revolutionary HDcodex DML-200c, a commercial-grade, high-definition media server that streams stunning video, audio, pictures, and graphics for tradeshow displays, corporate boardrooms, and public display applications. Developing dynamic and memorable presentations will be a click away, with all of the metadata completely organized and easily accessible.

The DML-200c has been designed to elevate the quality of video playback by providing SD and HD video at resolutions of up to 1080p. It offers unparalleled flexibility and configuration options that support a wide range of media files such as MPEG, AVI, TS, MP2, MP3, AC3, WAV, AAC, HTML, SWF, BMP, PNG, TIFF, GIF, and JPEG. With 250 gigabytes of hard drive, the DML-200c will deliver multi-channel 5.1 and 7.1 high-resolution digital audio capabilities.

"The HDcodex DML-200c is ideal for the tradeshow market because it unites two important trade show vehicles, PowerPoint-like presentations and high-definition video," says Hugo Feugen, president of CodexNovus. "Before, presentations were made by using multiple sources to control the different AV needs. Users will no longer need to click between screens and systems because our playlists combine it all through a dynamic user interface."

Using its extensive playlist functionality, the DML-200c will have the ability to sequence and play back interactive multimedia presentations combining video, audio, pictures and graphics, making the DML-200c an ideal solution for public display applications, such as tradeshows, point-of-purchase kiosks in AV dealer showroom and other retail environments. This cutting edge media server has an easy setup and will supply the most efficient continuous play without hiccup. Finally, the media server for today has arrived, without the keyboard, mouse, and technician.

"The DML-200c has proven to be highly effective at our tradeshow displays because of its flexibility and ease of integration with products," says Grant Stewart, president of Stewart Filmscreen, which used the DML-200c for InfoComm 06. "Utilizing HDcodex's extensive playlist features, we are able to adapt our product demonstrations to a wide variety of attendees."

The HDcodex DML-200c will be available in the fourth quarter of 2006 at an MSRP of $3499.
