The RS2321X8 router allows for simple expansion of serial control systems. It is controllable through IR and RS-232. The RS2321X8 router has inputs for RS-422 and RS-232, with four RS-232 outputs through DB9 and four RS-422 outputs through RJ-45. RS-422 outputs allow a cable run of as much as 4,000 feet to help with any installation challenge. The router expands the functionality of the CTD line of self-contained commercial touch-screen displays by expanding the single RS-422 output of the touch-screen display to eight total serial ports.

Because Mini High-res cables have a precise 75ž impedance and are return loss tested, they are able to accommodate demanding applications such as HDTV, SDI, DVI, high-resolution CAD, and high-resolution video on large screens. Every reel is tested and verified to have a minimum return loss level of 20 dB out to 3 GHz. To lower the cable's attenuation characteristics, Belden provides 25 AWG (solid) bare copper conductors and an interlocked serve-over-foil shield design versus 26 AWG stranded copper conductors and foil-over-serve shields.
