Electrosonic has announced the introduction of the MS9500GL, a networked high-definition MPEG player for show replay, signage, and other AV applications. The new product offers all of the functionality of Electrosonic’s popular MS9500 with the additional capabilities of genlock, timecode and GPIO, providing truly synchronized multi-channel HD replay.

“Our clients have been asking for a cost-effective, frame-accurate, high-definition solution for use in demanding show control environments. These capabilities are typically in the realm of broadcast replay servers, at a prohibitive price point for many AV applications,” says Jennifer Wisehart, Electrosonic products sales manager.

For digital signage applications, the MS9500GL combines high-definition video with still images, scrolling tickers, and HTML pages for a vast array of display possibilities. The MS9500GL allows retailers, marketing, entertainment companies, and many other organizations to cost-effectively send HD video, graphical and editorial content to hundreds of displays located virtually anywhere. The compact size and headless operation allows quick and easy deployment in any environment, and the DVI output guarantees the highest-quality imagery on the latest generation of display devices.

The MS9500GL supports numerous output resolutions including 1920x1080i, 1280x720p, and 720×576/480p. Capable of clean switching between SD and HD content, the MS9500GL allows deployment of a standard-definition video network today, with a true high -definition upgrade path for the future.
