ONVIF is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems, and Sony to standardize communication between network devices for the security market. Its mission is to facilitate the integration of network security and safety devices using a global open standard. Besides the founding companies, the organization’s 17 full members include Alhua Technology, Canon, Cisco, HikVision, Honeywell, IDIS, IndigoVision, LG Electronics, March Networks, Panasonic, Pelco, Samsung, Siemens, and Texas Instruments.
Demographic: Membership is open to manufacturers, software developers, consultants, system integrators, and end-users working with IP technology.
