Audio-Technica Updates Wireless System

Jan 3, 2007 11:11 AM

Audio-Technica, a designer and manufacturer of consumer and professional microphones, headphones, phono cartridges, and accessories, has updated its Freeway 200 Series Wireless Systems with new cosmetics- and a space-saving AC adapter. A-T’s Freeway 200 Series wireless systems specifically answer the strong demand for affordable, reliable wireless systems.

Available in handheld, head-worn, guitar, lavalier, and body-pack configurations, the Freeway 200 Series wireless systems are single-channel, fixed-frequency systems available in three VHF traveling frequencies (169.505, 170.245 and 171.905 MHz). The systems also feature an advanced dipole antenna system for extended operating range.

Each Freeway 200 Series wireless system includes the ATW-R250 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/transmitter on a specific crystal-controlled frequency. The ATW-R250 is a single-channel receiver with a unique space saving power supply, perfect when multiple AC power supplies are employed as part of a system. The ATW-R250 also offers squelch and volume controls and a 1/4in. output jack, along with AF Peak, RF, and Power indicator lights.

The ATW-T201 UniPak transmitter, included with all 200 Series Freeway body-pack systems, features a professional four-pin locking connector and a dual-impedance input for instruments and microphones. Five body-pack system configurations are available. Both handheld and body-pack transmitters operate on a single 9V battery, and feature a battery-condition indicator light, easily accessible three position Off/Standby/On switch, and variable trim control. All 200 Series body-pack systems are compatible with the wide selection of Audio-Technica Wireless Essentials microphones and cables.

The new Audio-Technica Freeway 200 Series Wireless Systems are available immediately with U.S. MSRPs as follows:

  • ATW-251 UniPak system: $149.95
  • ATW-251/G guitar system: $174.95
