Epson America’s new Epson DC-12 document camera features new picture-in-picture functionality, which allows students to view original and zoomed-in images simultaneously. The DC-12 also offers up to 1080p output resolution with a future-ready HDMI connector and larger imaging sensor with a16X digital zoom to display details. The DC-12 allows educators to capture their lessons using a built-in microphone for audio recording, with video, and PC-free annotation on both live and captured images that can easily be saved.
Belkin has introduced the Air Shield Case for iPads. The case is designed to guard against the daily wear and tear of student transport between classrooms, and to and from school.
The case features a rigid, protective shell with shock-absorbing edges and corners to protect an iPad from accidental damage. The case has been independently tested to meet conditions for MIL STD 810G transit drops up to six feet specified by the U.S. Department of Defense.
The case is compatible with iPad 2, 3, and 4, as well as with standard charging stations and carts.
Elmo has introduced the BOXi T-350, its first portable HD video projector. The projector weighs 1.1lbs. and produces images as large as 68in. diagonally at a distance of 52in. from the screen. The BOXi T-350 features a single HDMI connection for video sources and a mini-stereo output jack. An IR remote control is also included. The BOXi-T350 projects in native resolution of 1280x800 (WXGA) and will accommodate video input resolution from 480i to 1080p. The projector automatically reduces or shuts off power to prevent damage from overheating. Alongside usual custom image controls, the projector also offers users selectable pre-set modes for optimized viewing of TV, movies, video games, photos, and presentations. Additionally, there is maximum brightness mode for environments with higher ambient light.
