The extender from Shinybow is a no-frills product at the second lowest price out of all the extenders tested. Yet it was able to perform comparable to a product at a much higher cost. There are indicator lights for HDMI signal presence, link status, and power. The size of the unit is small, which makes it easy to locate in places where space is a premium. There is a power supply at both ends that uses a screw-on connector to ensure a solid connection that will not fall out. The Shinybow name is normally not associated with a high-end product, but the performance of this set measured up well against products that are significantly more expensive. Shinybow USA is located in the Dallas suburb of Frisco and the company’s tech support was easy to reach through both email and over the phone.
