CEDIA Expo is much more than the products; it’s about the passion, the excitement, and the connections you make while at the show. CEDIA Expo is the one place to do business, share ideas, and meet contacts that will enhance your life both professionally and personally. The experience cannot be duplicated. The training you take will be valuable, and the products you see could mean big things for your business. When the show floor closes each day, the community aspect has only just begun. CEDIA Expo has a wide variety of special events before, during, and after the show to help you catch up with your AV family. Here’s a breakdown of those events:
For the Business Owner
The CEDIA Capital Summit
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The CEDIA Capital Summit brings together industry entrepreneurs seeking investment with financial and business experts from the world of investments, mergers, and acquisitions. You will hear from a panel of both strategic and financial investors on relevant issues including:
What investors look for in a company
How to find qualified investors
Do’s and Don’ts of presenting your opportunity to investors
The problem with investing in our industry and how to solve it
Examples of successful mergers and acquisitions in our industry
How to get started if you do not have an exit strategy.
This event is geared to all CEDIA industry executives and investors including owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and finance professionals. CEDIA members may attend free of charge, non-members may attend for a registration fee of $75.
For the Newbie
First-time Attendee Orientation
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
This orientation is your chance to meet fellow first-time attendees and get to know about the show. Enjoy drinks and appetizers while orientation host Michael Heiss provides a brief presentation about industry trends, the association, and how to navigate the show. After presentations you will have a chance to explore the show floor on a self-guided tour. All attendees will also receive VIP seating for the opening keynote following the orientation
For Everyone
After-Hours Party
Thursday, Sept. 11, 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
CEDIA is transforming the Four Season Ballroom 2-4 into the CEDIA Dueling Piano Bar. At center stage will be two grand pianos ready for comedy and music rolled into one. There will also be a classic bar food and an open bar.
CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards Celebration
Saturday, Sept. 13, 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Applaud the work of the industry at the annual awards celebration. This year’s theme is “fire and ice.”
