The Zuum extender is another unit that has the same form factor and case as other ones that were tested. This only confirms a common manufacturing location, but it does not convey anything about the performance. The design and development of the hardware inside the case is done by Zuum engineers and the completed design is manufactured overseas to facilitate a better price for the set. The performance achieved using Cat-5 cable was among the best tested. The price was slightly over the average when compared to all the units evaluated. The extender has a red link when not working and green when working to help troubleshoot when in the field. There are flanges on each end of the unit to allow easy placement during installation by mounting on a wall or under a table.
