Ocean Way Audio has introduced its Montecito reference loudspeaker system, designed by Allen Sides. The high-bandwidth, wide-dispersion Montecito features a 1in. aluminum dome tweeter with an aluminum voice coil that is encased in ferrofluid. The tweeter is coupled to a solid hardwood waveguide. The speaker also includes a 10in. polymer-coated cone cast-frame mid-bass driver with a 1-1/2in. aluminum voice coil and dual 12in. aluminum cone woofers with 2-1/2in. aluminum voice coils. The enclosure is constructed from laminated birch plywood and other high-density woods. Each cabinet is finished with select mahogany and spruce with intricate inlays on the edges of the 45-degree-angled front corners. Availability: Now Price: $48,000 per pair
