Yamaha recently unveiled two new amplifers under its Commercial Installations Solutions (CIS) umbrella. The MA2030 mixer amplifier—featuring three stereo line inputs, two mic inputs, one stereo output, two amplifier outputs, and one DCP control port—is equipped with DSP technology that allows product features such as priority ducking, feedback reduction, auto leveling, speaker processing, and remote connectivity thanks to an optional low-cost DCP1V1S wall controller panel connected over Cat-5 and mounts in a standard single gang wall box. The PA2030, which can easily provide more power by adding two more 30W channels to the MA2030, is fitted with an efficient class-D circuit with fan-less cooling design and features two stereo line input options (RCA and Euro Block), two amplifier outputs (2x30W at high impedance, 70V or 100V, or low impedance from 3Ω to 8Ω).
Availability: Summer 2014
Price: $399 (MA2030); $299 (PA2030)
