The 057 surround sound processor from Burmester is the German high-performance audio company’s first multichannel home theater product. It supports surround sound formats including Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES DTS Neo:6, and Dolby Pro Logic II. The processor also boasts fully balanced amplification, DC coupling, and automatic overload control.
Burmester says the modular design ensures that hardware and software elements can be upgraded as needed and that the product won’t become obsolete. An option to equip the processor with Burmester’s BurLink interface enables integration with home-control systems from Crestron, AMX, and others. The interface packs RS-232 and USB 2.0 ports.
