The LG Electronics LBX series of full-HD, 1080p-resolution LCD HDTVs, nicknamed “Opus,” includes three screen sizes — 42in., 47in., and 52in. — available at suggested retail prices of $2,499, $3,299, and $4,499, respectively. The displays use the latest technology to provide clearer images, expand the color gamut to 92 percent of the NTSC spectrum, and minimize color shift and distortion, even at viewing angles of up to 178 degrees. The series also offers installation-friendly features to enhance flexibility and ease of use, including an expert mode for custom picture calibration, RS-232 control, and optical and coax digital audio output. Discrete IR remote control codes allow custom installers to create a unique home theater experience for their customers.

Sim2‘s latest high-definition video projector, the Grand Cinema HT30000 HOST, combines the flexibility of modular design with the video performance of the latest-generation full-HD, 1080p DarkChip3 DLP DMD from Texas Instruments. The new system pairs a compact projector in an aesthetically pleasing cabinet design with a discrete outboard video input processor, connected to each other via Sim2’s proprietary, three-line optical-digital High-definition Optical Signal Transfer (HOST) system over distances up to 750ft. The system also features Sim2’s proprietary AlphaPath light engine, integrated lens shift and digital keystone adjustment, picture sizes ranging from 50in. to 300in., and a choice of lenses to provide a broad throw range.

DIGITAL VIDEO PROCESSOR
The new Crestron DVPHD-PRO high-definition digital video processor accepts up to eight source signals and displays them in up to eight scalable video windows simultaneously. It also handles HDMI with external adapters. The device features input and output resolutions up to 1920×1200 for RGB and DVI signals, and supports 1080i and 1080p HDTV for use in home theater, gaming, at-home sport bars, home-office conferencing, and video security applications. Other features include true 10-bit video processing and the latest generation of high-definition scaling and de-interlacing, as well as 24-bit color, dynamic graphics, dynamic text, full-motion animation, and translucent objects.

MATRIX SWITCHERS
The Extron Electronics SMX System MultiMatrix series combines multiple, independent analog and digital matrix switchers in a field-configurable, modular frame. The SMX system is an ideal choice for medical imaging systems, conference and training facilities, and other mid-sized applications requiring a variety of signal types and a cost-effective upgrade path for ongoing I/O or signal-format changes. The system frames are available in 3RU, 4RU, and 5RU sizes, providing six, eight, or 10 matrix board slots, respectively. All of the frames feature front-panel control, IP Link Ethernet, and RS-232 remote control. Up to 16 separate matrix boards can be switched independently or simultaneously, all under a single point of control.
