Altinex Expands MultiTasker Line
Altinex expanded its MultiTasker AV system by more than 800 new parts.
Altinex, a manufacturer of modular AV signal management solutions, expanded its MultiTasker AV system by more than 800 new parts, the company announced.
MultiTasker products are modular, card-based and freely configurable, thus offering integrators greater flexibility. AV pros can now choose from more than 70 plug-in cards, providing freedom in system configuration and increased savings because they don't need to specify more I/O capacity than required for a project, according to the company.
The system begins with the matrix switcher or router, which is available in a range of signal terminations and configurable from 4x4 to 64x64. They can be combined to create a system up to 128x128. The switchers come in several signal formats: composite video, S-Video, HDTV/component video, VGA, twisted pair, and mono and stereo audio. Custom configurations are also available.
Altinex now offers a variety of enclosures for the I/O cards, with or without front panel control. For systems using computers or third-party system control, enclosures with front and back 9-pin D-sub connectors and microprocessors are also available. Matrix switcher enclosures come in 4-, 8-, 12-, 19, and 20-slot configurations. Altinex also offers its MultiTouch touch-screen panels as well as a tabletop keyboard controller.
"Regardless of the size and complexity of the AV system one envisions, our MultiTasker AV System offerings...offer the flexibility to build exactly the system the client wants," said president and CEO Jack Gershfeld, in a statement.
