Associations Focus: NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference Provides Custom Blueprint for Success

Nov 1, 2008 12:00 PM

Boost your profits at NSCA’s 2009 Business & Leadership Conference, sponsored by InfoComm International, and learn from experts and professionals who’ve been through tough economic conditions before. Formerly the Fall Business Conference, the popular event will be held Feb. 26-28, 2009, at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix. Register now for early-bird discounts by visiting www.nsca.org/blc or calling (800) 446-6722.

As the premier forum for executives and managers in the industry, the conference provides attendees with world-class presenters and industry experts, networking events, and interactive sessions that help them discover profit.

John Bangs of AV/Com Integrators says the business conference allowed him to take nuggets of information and apply them to his own business. “This conference makes you get away and actually think about your business instead of just reacting to your business; owners don’t get a lot of that time,” he says.

Attendees are able to customize their learning experience to focus on their specific needs, interests, and issues. Sessions address topics such as:

  • Power Marketing
  • Generation “Why”
  • How to Turn Market Intelligence into High-impact Profitability Programs
  • Leadership in Uncertain Times
  • Stabilize Your Business Today: Stop the Insurance Madness
  • Best Practices: Selecting Top Talent for Higher Productivity and Improved Profitability.

InfoComm International Executive Director Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., says his association was pleased to be a part of the conference. “Over the years, this event has consistently demonstrated its value to those who attend, and I am looking forward to being there,” Lemke says.

Sponsors of the event include InfoComm International (host sponsor); MiTek Electronics and Communications Group (host sponsor); SCN (cohost and media sponsor); Dove Net; FSR; Herman Procurement & Logistics; Rauland-Borg Corporation; Shure Incorporated; Biamp Systems; and West Penn Wire.

Conference fees are $899 if you register before Nov. 5 and $1,049 thereafter up to the day of the event itself.

NSCA UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE

NSCA is committed to helping you solve problems, save time, and make money — and its innovative new website is the latest tool to help you do just that. The new site, which launched on Oct. 1, brings easier navigation, a more inviting display, and new features including the Integrated System of the Week.

NSCA’s Integrated System of the Week allows members to promote their work on the NSCA website for an entire week. This complimentary promotion encourages visitors to www.nsca.org to view member sites and learn more about their companies. A brief description of the project, photo, company logo, and contact information for those who are interested in working with the company are included.

In addition, the new site provides visitors options to view the site from their own perspective — including contractors, manufacturers, consultants, sales reps, and architects and engineers. Having a website geared toward both members and non-members allows veterans, newcomers, and those interested in the commercial-electronic-systems industry the ability to learn about the latest news, issues, and opportunities in the industry.

If you are interested in promoting your business through NSCA’s Integrated System of the Week, or if you have any questions, please contact Christy Bock at [email protected] or (800) 446-6722.
