Auralex Acoustics announced the promotion of acoustical engineer Gavin Haverstick to the position of lead acoustical engineer.

Auralex Acoustics announced the promotion of acoustical engineer Gavin Haverstick to the position of lead acoustical engineer. An employee at Auralex since 2000, Haverstick started in the engineering department and later stepped in as Midwest regional sales manager. He will officially introduce himself with his new title to the pro AV market next week at InfoComm 2008.

As lead acoustical engineer, Haverstick oversees the research, development, and testing for current and future products. His main focus, however, is on new product design, working with acoustical consultants, and continuing to supervise large-scale projects. He is also responsible for writing technical white papers and giving presentations on the company’s products and acoustical theory.

“My goal now is to be a technical resource for Auralex employees, dealers, as well as architects, interior designers, and acoustical consultants,” said Haverstick. “After nearly eight years at Auralex, I have seen the company grow into what it is today. I look forward to many more years to come.”

While with Auralex, Haverstick has completed testing and/or acoustical analysis of over 3,000 challenging spaces, including gymnasiums, houses of worship, recording studios, conference rooms, home theaters, and industrial facilities.
