Contrary to popular belief, successfully streaming AV over IP networks isn’t so much a question of bandwidth as it is one of identifying bottlenecks in advance.

Enabling digital video is as easy as one, two, three.

  • Record – Use a traditional video recorder to capture audio and video content. Connect the analog video recorder to an encoder appliance to transform analog video into digital video streams for network distribution.
  • Catalog – If you’re not just streaming video for a one-time activity, digital video is stored on servers as data files. A server application manages the digital video repository, including naming, cataloging, and retrieving specific digital video files.
  • View/Access – Digital video access is as easy as accessing spreadsheets or presentations on the network. After selecting the specified video clip, users can play the video via desktop viewers such as Windows Media decoders.
