BitWise Starts Up Dealer Program
BitWise Controls introduced a new direct-dealer program that the company says will offer increased technical support and profitability to professional systems integrators who incorporate BitWise’s new BC4 standards-based control system network interface in their installations.
BitWise Controls introduced a new direct-dealer program that the company says will offer increased technical support and profitability to professional systems integrators who incorporate BitWise’s new BC4 standards-based control system network interface in their installations. The BC4 will offer dealers the options and advantages of installing IP-based software and control systems with modular I/O expansion, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), and Two-Way TCP or UDP communications to control and monitor a variety of hardware devices.
BitWise Controls dealers will have priority telephone access to technical support personnel, e-mail support, and online support, according to the company. They will also have access to online resources such as CAD drawings, whitepapers, and training materials.
BitWise officials say the program is expected to offer custom integrators increased profitability and accessibility. There are no current plans to institute a minimum volume to retain dealership status, but increased sales will result in increased margins for integrators on a sliding scale.
“Having integration backgrounds, we understand that custom integration firms come in many different sizes, so we want to be accessible to smaller dealers, while rewarding loyalty from all dealers,” said BitWise Controls CEO Lance Beck.
According to the company, the BC4 is the only PoE-capable product of its kind on the market. It was designed for compatibility with all popular control systems and incorporates configurable analog/digital GPIO, relay outputs, an IR engine with a preprogrammed library, and a two-way command protocol, among other features.
