Calypso Offers School Grants

Calypso Systems, a developer of multimedia solutions for K-12 classrooms, recently announced a call for applications for its 2010 Integrated Classroom Grant program.

Calypso Systems, a developer of multimedia solutions for K-12 classrooms, recently announced a call for applications for its 2010 Integrated Classroom Grant program.

An element of the Calypso School First Foundation (CSFF), the Integrated Classroom Grant provides school help in acquiring the company's ezRoom Classroom Bundle, an integrated, pre-assembled AV technology solution. Schools selected for the program can become eligible to receive up to $1,200 toward the purchase and installation of Calypso's ezRoom Classroom Bundle, according to company officials.

"Calypso's grant program allowed us to test and evaluate how the ezRoom system performed within our classroom," said Damon Lueck, technology coordinator of Chatfield Public Schools in Chatfield, Minn., in a prepared statement "The reviews from our faculty were positive and gave us the confidence to proceed with a schoolwide roll-out."

The Calypso Systems Integrated Classroom Grant program launched in 2008.

"The Integrated Classroom Grant provides a significant opportunity for schools to integrate technology into all aspects of the curriculum and alleviate administrator's hesitation to take on the risk of full deployment as they test and experiment with the technology first," said David H. Parish, Ph.D., president of Calypso Systems, in a statement.

The ezRoom Classroom Bundle includes interface, audio and, connectivity products. It does not include projector, screen, or AV source devices. To apply for Calypso Systems' Integrated Classroom Grant, please visit Calypso online.
