Integrated AV Systems, which does business as CCS Presentation Systems Texas, said it has purchased a majority interest in New Orleans-based audio visual company, Creative Presentations. Company officials say the new venture creates an expanded territory for the AV integrator, which currently has Texas offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Tyler.
Integrated AV serves customers in corporate, government, and educational institutions including Rice University, University of Texas, and K-12 school districts throughout Texas. Other projects include the Texas Department of Transportation and the new Boone Pickens football stadium at Oklahoma State University.
"We are proud to add the talent and extensive industry experience of Creative Presentations to our team," said Mark Kalinsky, CEO of Integrated AV Systems, in a statement. "The demand for AV technology has never been bigger and we saw a great opportunity to grow the business into the southeast by joining forces with the Creative Presentations team in Louisiana."
Creative Presentations has been wholly-owned and operated by Barry and Susan Edwards for nearly 20 years and is among the largest AV integrators in Louisiana. Its customers include the Louisiana Department of Transportation, the Governor's Office of Homeland Security, and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
"We are pleased to combine our strengths which will offer even more innovative talent and technology to our customers," said Barry Edwards, president of Creative Presentations, in a statement. "This is a great opportunity for both organizations to maximize our potential and still offer our same personal customer service."
Creative Presentations will retain its name after the acquisition and Barry Edwards will continue as president. No staffing changes will take place, according to company officials. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
Both organizations offer multiple product lines to enhance presentation effectiveness and customer experiences including interactive SmartBoards, LCD and plasma displays, projectors, and projection screens.
