Crestron’s new Eagles Program donates high-tech home theater systems to military hospitals. Conceived by Crestron President George Feldstein, the Eagles Program works with several partners to provide comfort and entertainment for wounded service men and women. The first two hospitals to benefit from the program are Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital in Washington, D.C., and The Wounded Warriors Battalion East at Camp Lejeune in Charlotte, N.C.

Feldstein was motivated to start the Eagles Program, which is similar to his ELF Foundation that donates home theaters to children’s hospitals, after Pete Baca, Crestron national government sales manager and a retired U.S. Marine, shared stories about wounded soldiers passing recovery time in lounges or recreation rooms with few amenities or comfort.

“I believe that every company in the private sector should do whatever they can to support and honor the men and women who have selflessly sacrificed so much to defend our country,” said Feldstein.

Crestron is donating Adagio Media Systems for control and digital video and surround sound processing. Crestron also reached out to partners LG Electronics for Blu-ray players, Velodyne for subwoofers, Triad for loudspeakers, and Marshall Furniture for custom cabinetry.
