Da-Lite Screen Co. has expanded its Contour Electrol and Tensioned Contour Electrol motorized projection screen lines to include 16:10 format sizes.

With the introduction of wide-format PCs and laptops, Da-Lite officials said the company recognized the 16:10 format as the upcoming standard for the computer industry. The company also recognized that many leading projector manufacturers have developed projector models with a resolution of 1280×800, which is in the 16:10 wide format.

Acknowledging the computer industry as a driving force behind the images being presented in many of today’s visual displays in the commercial AV world, Da-Lite chose to offer a range of projection screens in 16:10 format.

The screens’ curved aluminum extruded case is available in black, white, or graphite, making the Contour Electrol a stylish addition to any environment, according to the company. For ease of installation, the Contour Electrol can come with a SCB-100 and SCB-00 (RS-232 serial control board), Low Voltage Control unit, Silent Motor, Silent Motor with Low Voltage Control, or Video Projector Interface built into the case.
