Epson Projector Brings Large Scale to Small Spaces
Epson introduced the PowerLite 410W short-throw, widescreen projector. An upgrade to the PowerLite 400W 3LCD projector, the PowerLite 410W offers native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution for use with widescreen computers and 16:10 interactive whiteboards.
Aiming to address the needs of K-12 schools for interactive whiteboard projection solutions, Epson has introduced the PowerLite 410W short-throw, widescreen projector. An upgrade to the PowerLite 400W 3LCD projector, the PowerLite 410W offers native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution for use with widescreen computers and 16:10 interactive whiteboards, and additional enhancements, such as a shorter throw lens, increased brightness, and an optional wall mount, according to the company.
Epson officials said the PowerLite 410W projects a 60-inch 16:10 image form 2 feet away. The improved design allows more space for students and teachers in smaller classrooms, while reducing shadows from presenters.
The new projector also features 2,000 lumens of white light output and 2,000 lumens of color light output for vibrant image quality without excessive glare. Its adjustable optional wall mount suits a wide variety of screen sizes, and allows for quick installation with increased flexibility at a low cost, says the company.
“The PowerLite 400W was a leap in projection technology, and the PowerLite 410W follows suit with improved features to greater benefit the classroom, making it an easy and affordable solution for displaying large, widescreen content in a small space without jeopardizing picture quality, “said Sara Kim, associate product manager for Epson America, in a statement.
Other features include extended lamp life up to 4,000 hours in economy mode; a 10-watt loudspeaker and built-in closed captioning decoder; remote control support via RJ-45; and 1.35x digital zoom and +/-15 degree vertical keystone correction.
Epson is also offering the new projector through its Brighter Futures program, a sales and support initiative available specifically for schools. Designed to help educators select and implement products for their classrooms, Brighter Futures offers special pricing, extended Epson limited warranty coverage for three years, dedicated education account managers, and toll-free technical support for its projectors.
The Epson PowerLite 410W projector will be available late this month for an estimated street price of $1,299 through national resellers, pro AV dealers, mail order, and distribution.
