Fiber Optic Meter
The Fiberlink optical power meter kit (6625) from Communications Specialties allows users to install, test, and maintain fiber optic links. The kit comprises the company’s 6615 optical power meter; jumper cables for ST, LC, FC, and SC connectors; a user’s manual; a troubleshooting EduGuide; a company product catalog; and a technical resource CD, all within a hard carrying case. The meter uses a single-mode or multimode fiber to measure the power of an optical signal reaching the receiving end of a fiber optic cable as generated by either a transmitter unit or a light source.
