Fujitsu General America, a recognized leader in the fast-growing plasma display market, announced a significant price reduction on three of its popular, award-winning Plasmavision 40-series high definition displays. Effective immediately, the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices on these Plasmavision monitors will be reduced as follows: 42in P42HHA40US (from $5,499 to $4,999); 50in P50XHA40US (from $7,499 to $6,999); and 55inch P55XHA40US (from $9,999 to $8,499).

“As more and more consumers turn to flat panel plasma displays for home theater enjoyment, Fujitsu is committed to leading the way with superior products at competitive prices,” notes Tedd Rozylowicz, president and COO of Fujitsu General America. “We are pleased that due to lower manufacturing costs and increased demand for our high-quality products, we have been able to adjust prices downward, giving our discriminating customers a more affordable option for the best plasma display products available.”

Fujitsu’s 40-series plasma displays incorporate today’s premier image-enhancement technology, including Fujitsu’s proprietary AVM-II digital video processor with a 10-bit processing system that produces more than 1.07 billion colors. The P55XHA40US features e-ALiS technology for exceptionally sharp image quality with superlative color accuracy and ultra high brightness. Both the P50XHA40US and the P55XHA40US offer a high-definition 1366 x 768 pixel panel that can display the output from virtually any home theater video source. The P42HHA40US features a 1024 x 1024 pixel panel, using Fujitsu’s Alternate Lighting of Surfaces (ALiS) technology.

Plasmavision monitors also include High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), enabling access to true high-definition audio/video content, plus an RS-232 control port for integrated system operation. In addition, built-in stereo audio amplifiers facilitate their use in stand-alone multimedia or home theater applications, using optional available speakers.

Like all Fujitsu monitors, models in the 40-series feature a slim-profile design measuring just a few inches in depth, facilitating wall-, ceiling- or stand-mounting in custom installations, with a chassis design that enables all connecting cables to be easily and invisibly installed. These displays feature elegant front bezels with crisp, defined angles and a rich metallic silver finish, designed to complement any home entertainment system and living environment.
