HaiVision Appoints Direct of Federal Sales

Vaughan began his career in the U.S. Air Force as a communications officer and network engineer, responsible for the deployment and optimization of tactical IP networks. Over the past 10 years of civilian employment, Vaughan’s held engineering, management, and sales positions with Lucent, VBrick Systems, and Sonic Foundry, and was most recently director of federal sales at Rivulet Communications.
“Andy brings to HaiVision a significant and unique knowledge of the opportunities and challenges within the federal segment, combined with a solid technical footing with regard to advanced network video deployment,” said Mirko Wicha, president and CEO of HaiVision, in a statement.
According to the company, the recent development of its Piranha encoders has led to success for HaiVision in the federal market. The Piranha combines telemetry (ISR, UAV, KLV) metadata from serial ports or embedded within line 21 video and includes that data within the compressed video stream.
