Indianapolis Public Schools’ Telecommunications Center (a division of Instructional Media) maintains five closed-circuit TV channels and two educational channels. A recent $0.8 million expansion program allowed IPS to chose, among other things, a new routing system. The school system chose Utah Scientific’s Utah-300 routing system, currently configured for analog video and stereo audio.
Having used Utah in the past, IPS needed a system that would be both backward and forward compatible with other Utah products. Looking into the future, IPS plans to add two more closed-circuit TV channels and to upgrade the existing Utah AVS-2 to a larger Utah-300.
