ISE Expands to Middle East

Integrated Systems Events announced this week it would launch a show at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates March 23-24, 2009.

Integrated Systems Events (ISE) announced this week it would launch a show at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates March 23-24, 2009. ISE is a joint venture of InfoComm and the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA).

ISE will partner with CMP Information Ltd. to put on the event, which will be called Integrated Systems Middle East Africa (ISMEA).

“Just as we successfully partnered with an organization that had strong local roots when we launched Integrated Systems Russia in 2007, so our partnership with CMPi is designed to ensure that ISMEA benefits from having an established sales, operations, and marketing network in the region,” said Mike Blackman, managing director of ISE, in a statement.

CMPi’s Middle East operations are based in Abu Dhabi.

“With the spectacular growth of its flagship Integrated Systems Europe show in Amsterdam…ISE has blazed a trail for the professional AV and systems integration business across Europe,” added Chris Fountain, group director of CMPi UAE. “There is a huge appetite in the Middle East and Africa region for these technologies, and professionals are crying out for a fully focused event such as ISMEA.”

Fountain said that because of the nature of large-scale construction projects in the region, architects, project managers, and interior designers would also be targeted for the new ISMEA.

The two-day show for commercial and residential integration will include a program of education and training developed by InfoComm, CEDIA, and manufacturers.
