JBL Professional promoted Stephen Morris to executive vice president of sales after he successfully led groupwide sales and marketing for Harman Professional’s cinema business. Prior to that role, he held senior sales and marketing positions over the course of nine years at sister company Crown Audio.

JBL Professional promoted Stephen Morris to executive vice president of sales after he successfully led groupwide sales and marketing for Harman Professional’s cinema business. Prior to that role, he held senior sales and marketing positions over the course of nine years at sister company Crown Audio.

In his new position, Morris will direct worldwide sales operations out of JBL Professional’s headquarters in Northridge, Calif. He will also lead U.S. sales operations for other Harman Professional brands, including AKG, Soundcraft, and Studer. Morris will report directly to John Carpanini, president, JBL Professional.

“Stephen’s background in marketing and sales will bring a fresh perspective to JBL Professional,” said Carpanini. “We look forward to working with Stephen to forge stronger connections with members of the professional audio community in all of the vertical markets and geographic territories in which we operate.”

While with Crown Audio, Morris helped the company achieve consistent growth in the global cinema market and was heavily involved in pioneering the development of the group’s Digital B-Chain technology.
