The new models include DLP technology with BrilliantColorT, which enables a 1300:1 contrast ratio. Lamps last up to 4,000 hours, the company says, and both models feature a built-in loudspeaker and a monitor out.
The NP100 projector has an SVGA resolution, while the NP200 has an XGA resolution. According to NEC, each has essential features for use in small to medium-sized rooms; can be oriented to front, rear, tabletop, or ceiling-mounted positions; and are available at affordable prices.
Both projectors will be available in April at estimated street prices of $499 for the NP100 and $649 for the NP200.
