MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems recently hired Robert Petrilak to the newly created position of senior staff engineer. In this position, Petrilak will assist the MultiDyne engineering team in the development of fiber-optic transport systems for its new DVI products.

“Rob has an extensive background in the broadcast engineering field and a proven track record for the development of successful products,” said Jim Jachetta, senior vice president of engineering, in a statement. “MultiDyne is in a growth position, and Rob’s engineering expertise will be a benefit to the timely roll-out of our new generation of products.”

Petrilak was a design engineer and engineering manager for Ditech Routing Systems for eight years before leaving to joining PESA Switching Systems as an OEM engineering product manager. Most recently, he served as senior hardware engineer for QuStream Corp.
