Targeted for use in small room/crowd installations, the APS 25 speaker system from Azden can be used with bodypack lavalier mics or handheld mics. The system features four audio inputs: two for modular, user-installable wireless microphone receivers, VHF, UHF, or infrared, and two for a wired microphone and line output device. All four inputs have independent volume control. The dual voltage speaker offers a line-output for multi-speaker applications, a variable high-cut control, and auto on/off circuitry. The 2000 Series UHF True Diversity wireless microphone systems from Audio-Technica are designed for use in mobile applications such as live performances and public addresses and fixed installations in houses of worship. The series offers two system options: the ATW-2110 UHF UniPak transmitter system features the ATW-R2100 true diversity receiver and the ATW-T210 UniPak body-pack transmitter, while the ATW-2120 UHF handheld dynamic microphone system also includes the ATW-R2100 and offers the ATW-T220 handheld microphone/transmitter. The AN-16/iM input module from Aviom is a 3U-high, rack-mounted mic and line level input device. The unit contains 16 microphone preamps with 24-bit A/D converters. Each channel provides a three-segment level LED meter, a continuously variable gain knob, a phase reverse switch, a 48 V phantom power switch with LED, and a rumble filter with an 85 Hz roll-off. Combo jacks on each channel accept either balanced or unbalanced XLR mic or 1/4-inch line level inputs. Price: $1,995. Availability: currently available. Celestion‘s FTR Series of loudspeakers features the 15-4080F, 15-4080FD, 18-4080F, and 18-4080FD aluminum chassis loudspeakers. The 15-4080F and 15-4080FD offer a 15-inch chassis with 4-inch voice coils. The 15-4080F offers 600 W RMS and a 40 Hz to 1,500 Hz frequency range, while the 15-4080FD offers 1,000 W RMS and a 30 Hz to 1,500 Hz frequency range. The 18-4080F and the 18-4080FD offer an 18-inch chassis, a 4-inch voice coil, and a 30 Hz to 1,200 Hz frequency range. The 18-4080F offers 600 W RMS, while the 18-4080FD offers 1,000 W RMS. Peavey has introduced its new FX Series mixing consoles, which are available in 16-, 24-, and 32-channel (pictured here) versions. All consoles offer Silencer mic preamps, dual DSP engines, dual USB ports, and built-in MP3 compression for exporting audio to a computer. FX Series mixers provide four-band EQ mid sweep on each channel, four busses with insert points, 80 Hz low-cut filters and insert points on all channels, a universal switch-mode power supply, and BNC lamp outputs on the 24- and 32-channel models. Targeted for use in restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and videoconferencing systems, the four-channel CM 2204 and eight-channel CM 2208 (pictured here) are power amplifiers from Crest Audio. Both units feature a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, balanced, three-pin Phoenix inputs and two-pin Phoenix outputs, and occupy two rack spaces. Price: N/A.
