New NSCA AE Toolkit Focuses on Healthcare
NSCA added four new articles that examine architecture, low voltage, fire and life safety, and green issues within the healthcare industry to its AE Toolkit.
NSCA added four new articles that examine architecture, low voltage, fire and life safety, and green issues within the healthcare industry to its building information resource Web portal, the AE Toolkit.
According to NSCA, the new articles are in response to changing trends in the healthcare industry. Healthcare construction project starts are predicted to top $60 billion per year by 2010, according to data from Reed Construction.
“NSCA members can use the AE Toolkit to improve their relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors in the building industry,” said Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director.
The AE Toolkit includes more than 300 articles on best practices within the building industry. The four new articles are:

- Energy Efficiency Prescriptions for Health Care Facilities
- Healthy and Green
- Managing Fire System Upgrades for Health Care Facilities
“This updated content helps architects and their consultants in the commercial electronic systems field design better healthcare facilities,” said Craig Park, vice president and chief marketing officer for Leo A Daly, an architecture, engineering, planning, and interior design firm. “The better we know our clients’ technology views, the better we can create designs to meet their needs.”
NSCA’s AE Toolkit provides marketing strategies, engineering design guidelines, and resources for systems integrators and contractors, independent design consultants, equipment manufacturers, and independent reps.
