Targeted for use in classrooms, training rooms, and boardrooms, the ImagePro 8915 LCD projector from Dukane offers XGA (1024×768) resolution, 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness, and a 400:1 contrast ratio. Planar has introduced the PT and LA open-frame touchscreen displays, which are targeted at OEMs, integrators, and value-added resellers. The PT line (pictured here) is designed for retail, point of sale, and kiosk applications. The LA open-frame displays are designed for ticketing, enclosure, and kiosk applications. Both display lines offer resistive or capacitive open-frame touchscreen LCD screens measuring 15 to 19 inches, 1024×768 and 1280×1024 resolutions, and brightness from 250 to 350 cd/m2. Price: N/A. Targeted for use in multimedia applications in corporate, government, sports, and entertainment facilities, the Premiere routing switcher from PESA Switching Systems is available in 8×4, 12×8, 16×8, and 16×16 matrix sizes. Listen Technologies has introduced the LT-800 stationary FM transmitter for wireless audio applications. The unit is available in 72 MHz and 216 MHz configurations. Both offer an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio, dual audio inputs and outputs, and selectable noise reduction and audio processing. The transmitter features the company’s Look&Listen LCD screen, which displays channel status, channel lock, and signal strength. The LT-800 can be set to use both wideband and narrowband frequencies. DWIN Electronics has introduced the Transvision 3E high-definition front projector system, which features DarkChip3 DLP technology and 720p resolution. The system accepts 10 video inputs, including two DV-HDCP, two RGB, two S-video, two component, and two composite inputs. The Amp 200 and Amp 300 powered source-switching amplifiers from AudioSource offer two independent channels designed for use as remote, single or dual-zone, or rear-channel amplifiers. The Amp 200 is rated at 80 W per channel at 8 ohms, 125 W per channel at 4 ohms, and is bridgeable to mono for 250 W into 8 ohms. The Amp 300 (pictured here) is rated at 150 W per channel at 8 ohms, 235 W per channel at 4 ohms, and is bridgeable to mono for 470 W into 8 ohms. Price: $449 (Amp 200); $599 (Amp 300). The DX-2 CD/DVD publisher system from Microboards is designed to create finished, professional labels in large quantities. The DX-2 incorporates HP-based inkjet technology and Microboards automation. Kramer Electronics has released the VS-8FW DV/FireWire repeater/hub, which is designed for applications requiring additional FireWire (IEEE-1394) ports. The repeater/hub supports 100 Mb/s, 200 Mb/s, and 400 Mb/s transfer rates, which enable high-rate digital video transfer. The unit offers the company’s Spark-Guard Pro technology, which provides electrostatic discharge protection for all of its ports. The CrossPoint 450 Plus Series is designed for use in command & control centers, training facilities, and mission-critical environments. The Cordless 2.4 GHz Presenter from Logitech is a wireless presentation controller featuring a built-in programmable timer. The timer is displayed on a 1-inch by 1/2-inch LCD screen and provides vibration feedback when there are 5 and 2 minutes left on the timer. The controller has a range of 50 feet, connects to the computer by plugging the mini-receiver into a USB port, and features a battery-level indicator on the LCD screen. Parasound has introduced the model 7100 surround sound processor to its NewClassic line. The processor is THX- and Ultra2-certified. It enables users to switch up to 10 audio and video sources with six analog inputs, four coaxial and four optical digital audio inputs, and a 7.1-channel analog input, including bass management. For video, the unit offers six composite, four S-video, and three component inputs, which are all upconverted to the component output.
