Multi-display controller

Designed for control solutions in digital signage and customizable video display applications, the Presenter from TheVideoWall.com includes a PCI board and software that enables control of up to four displays through a PC. The Presenter offers four Cat5 STP cables to link the PC to remote displays, four remote connector boxes for attaching monitors, and the company's Dynamic Digital Signage Management software. Wireless audio system

Audix has released the RAD-360 wireless audio system, which is designed for use in houses of worship, corporate meetings and events, live performances, and fixed installation applications. The system offers a handheld or bodypack UHF wireless microphone and a dual tuner, true diversity receiver. The RAD-360R receiver is rack-mountable for one or two systems in a 19-inch rack. Mixer/seamless switcher

Analog Way's EventiX high-resolution seamless switcher offers eight universal inputs that accept signals from computer, UXGA, SDTV, and HDTV, as well as optional DVI and SDI resolutions. It features two outputs scaled up to SXGA, SXGA+, D-ILA, and HDTV resolutions. The switcher can be used as a mixer/seamless switcher with main and preview outputs or as a scaled native 8x2 matrix. In mixer mode, the EventiX offers floating, PIP, cut, fade, title, and wipe effects. In native matrix mode, the unit provides switching between any of the eight inputs to any of the two outputs. DLP projector

The XD480U ColorView from Mitsubishi is a DLP projector offering XGA (1024x768) resolution, a 2,200:1 contrast ratio, and 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. According to the company, the projector is designed to reduce image distortions for mobile presentation applications using a high throw ratio and digital horizontal and vertical keystone correction. HDMI cables

DVI Gear has introduced its HDMI cables, which are designed to carry digital-only DVI video signals from a graphics card to an HDTV display along with digital audio signals for surround sound capabilities using a single wire. The cables feature 28-gauge wire and support 480p, 720p, and 1080i HD formats. The HDMI cables are available in 7-, 10-, 12-, 15-, 20-, and 30-meter lengths. Powered near-field monitor system

SLS International has added the PS8R powered near-field monitor system to its Studio Reference Series. Incorporating the company's Evenstar Sigma-Delta digital amplifier technology, the PS8R offers standalone, ribbon-equipped, bi-amplified, near-field reference monitoring. According to the company, the unit's digital amplifier lowers distortion, increases bandwidth, and improves noise performance. The powered system has a frequency response of 44 to 20,000 Hz (± 2 dB), a maximum SPL of 110 dB at 1 m, and a dispersion angle of 120 degrees horizontal by 30 degrees vertical. Price: N/A. Da-Lite has introduced the Zero Gap Light Baffle, which is designed for use in edge-to-edge image applications with the company's rigid rear projection screens. The baffle enables rigid rear projection screens to connect and form a seamless digital edge for use with multiple projectors. Wireless microphone system

GEM Sound has released the PLL-32, a 32-channel wireless microphone system featuring a built-in LCD and microphone transmitter controls, which enable frequency selection from both the transmitter and receiver. The system's receiver is a half-rack aluminum unit with an LCD that displays channel, group, audio level, RF level, diversity A/B antenna, and mute. The rear panel includes balanced XLR and 1/4-inch outputs. The microphone transmitter's LCD displays channel, group, mute, and battery status. Price: $199.95. Availability: currently available. Wireless networkable projector

Plus Vision has introduced the U4-237, a wireless projector that offers network capabilities using a CompactFlash card wireless LAN module, which provides control of projector operations from a web browser and can save presentations directly to the card. The XGA (1024x768) projector offers 2,000 lumens of brightness, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, and weighs 3.5 pounds. It supports 480p, 576p, 780p, and 1080i video standards. Price: $2,495. Honeywell has introduced the Genesis CatLink Plus 6 cable for voice and data broadband applications. The cable offers a dielectric spacer, a rip cord, and sequential footage markings. Holographic projection screen

Targeted for presentation applications with high ambient light in display windows, lobbies, and trade shows, the HoloPresenter from Audio Visual & Film Group is an upright-standing glass panel equipped with a 40-inch holographic projection screen. Matrix Audio Designs has released the Series 4, Series 6, and Series 8 multi-source, multi-room audio controllers. The Series 4 controllers offer 20 W per channel, while Series 6 and Series 8 both offer 40 W per channel. All models feature RS232 and RJ11 interfaces and an RJ45 Ethernet port for IP control. Tube microphone

The E250 from Soundelux is a cardioid tube condenser microphone designed for close-miking vocal applications. The microphone has a frequency range of 20 Hz to 18 kHz, ±2 dB, a dynamic range of 110 dB, and a rated impedance of 200 ohms. According to the company, the E250 has a broadened polar pattern designed to work against the beaming effect or high-frequency directionality that can affect its high-frequency content. Pioneer Electronics has added the PDP-424MV 42-inch plasma display to its PureVision line. According to the company, the unit's encased cell structure uses a large phosphor surface area to prevent light leakage, while its capsulated color filter removes unnecessary elements from red, green, and blue light for improved color reproduction. TV One has introduced the C2-4100 RGB video scaler, which accepts resolutions from 640x480 up to 2048x2048. The C2-4100 features three inputs, two outputs, and one preview output, which enable RGBHV, RGBS, and RGsB input and output. Marshall Electronics has debuted the V-R72P-2HD, a dual high-definition LCD monitor set designed for rack-mount applications. Multiple-output AV transmitters

Communications Specialties has added the 7222 (four optical outputs), 7224 (eight optical outputs), and 7226 (12 optical outputs) high-resolution RGB and stereo audio transmitters to its Pure Digital Fiberlink 7220 Series. The transmitters, which are targeted for use in auditoriums, airports, stadiums, theaters, distance learning, and digital signage applications, support VGA (640x480) to WXGA (1366x768) resolutions as well as 480p, 720p, and 1080i HDTV resolutions (RGBHV format only). LED displays

Toshiba has added three new models to its TechnoRainbow line of LEDs, which are targeted for use in digital signage and real-time video display applications at sporting events and concerts. The TR2006R is an indoor 6 mm surface mount display (SMD). The TR2010ES is an indoor/outdoor 10 mm SMD, while the TRV2025GC is an outdoor 25 mm display. Three-way loudspeakers

QSC Audio has released five DCS Series three-way screen channel loudspeakers: the SC-413, SC-323, SC-423, SC-433, and SC-443. Mid-high sections in each model feature a horn-loaded mid-range transducer topped by a titanium diaphragm compression driver coupled with an adjustable pan-and-tilt bracket. The loudspeakers feature a 90-degree horizontal by –30- to 20-degree vertical nominal coverage. For bi-amp use, the loudspeakers offer a driver protection network and a passive crossover. Price: N/A. The XG-MB70X (pictured here) features 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and built-in RJ45 LAN connections that enable remote diagnostics and asset management.
