Crown Audio has added the 180MA and 280MA mixer/amplifiers to its Commercial Audio Series. The 180MA offers four inputs and one 80 W power amplifier for single-zone systems, while the 280MA features eight inputs and dual 80 W power amplifiers for two-zone systems. Targeted for use in paging, background music, and security applications, both models provide 4-ohm and constant-voltage outputs (70 V and 100 V). Price: $549 (180MA); $799 (280MA). PLUS Vision has released the PLUS V-332 XGA-resolution projector, which is designed for mobile projection applications. The 2.8-pound projector offers 1,200 lumens of brightness, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, and a built-in presentation timer. It supports 480p and 576p standards for progressive DVD video and 720p and 1080i standards for HDTV video. The unit’s Unplug & Go function allows its power cable to be unplugged immediately after use, while its battery-operated fan cools the projector. Price: $1,995. Availability: currently available. The System 920 home theater speaker system from Atlantic Technology is comprised of five two-way mini-satellites and a sealed, compact long-throw subwoofer. The satellite speakers are two-way systems that offer a 4-inch graphite-loaded homopolymer cone woofer that provides linear bass response down to 100 Hz. High-end reproduction is handled by a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. The drivers are mounted in a sealed MDF enclosure and are magnetically shielded to prevent interference with video equipment. Price: $899. Availability: currently available.
