DSP audio system processors
Targeted for commercial audio use, the NAV8800 (eight input and eight output, pictured here), NAV4800 (four input and eight output), and NAV3600 (three input and six output) Navigator DSP audio system processors from Sabine feature multiple input and output controllers, control and security options, full matrix mixing, and distributed audio functions. The devices incorporate 24-bit digital converters and 32-bit floating-point processors. Each model also includes full-function crossovers, Sabine’s FBX Feedback Exterminator, and multiple password-based security levels. Surge suppressors
Lowell’s ACSP line of UL- and ETL-listed, single-circuit and multi-circuit 20A surge suppressors offer a built-in ground transient filter (GTF). The GTF-equipped suppressors feature two isolated ground duplex outlets on rotating 90-degree plates for side access in rack-mount applications. The suppressors offer up to six 20A circuits enclosed in a box with terminal outputs and knockouts to provide surge suppression and ground transient filtering for AC loadcenters. Digital signage system
Chyron’s ChyTV Plus digital signage system adds S-video and component video inputs and outputs, serial and GUI control interfaces, balanced audio, and Ethernet and USB connectivity to existing ChyTV tools. The half-rack unit is designed for use with any professionally installed video messaging system. Subwoofer amplifier modules
Designed for use with subwoofers, the WXS600 (600 W RMS) and WXS300 (300 W RMS) amplifier modules from D2Audio connect directly to the driver and attach to the driver’s backplate and/or heatsink. Both models feature the company’s Audio Canvas development tool, which enables speaker designers to graphically control the internal DSP to customize signal processing, and save the optimized configuration as the amplifier’s default. The iSync HD digital video processor and AV switcher from Key Digital Systems offers HDMI (HDCP) digital inputs and outputs. UHF wireless microphone system
Audio-Technica’s 3000 Series UHF True Diversity Wireless System is a two-channel wireless microphone system designed for fixed installation, public address, house of worship, and rental & staging applications. The system features Audio-Technica’s Automatic Frequency Scanning technology, which determines and sets the optimal available frequency, according to the company. An ATW-3110 UHF UniPak bodypack system and ATW-3141 handheld microphone system are available in two UHF bands: 541.500 MHz to 566.375 MHz (TV channels 25 to 30) and 655.500 MHz to 680.375 MHz (TV channels 44 to 49), with 200 selectable frequencies in each band. Portable sound system
Designed for public address and music applications, the BEACON portable sound system from Anchor Audio consists of 11 speakers (eight mid-range and three bass units), a 300 W (AC) amplifier and mixer, a 110/220 VAC converter for international use, and a battery that provides 60 W power for up to six hours. The BEACON system can be configured to accommodate two wireless mics, and features an active distortion limiter, an internal dynamic equalizer, and a voice-over function. DVI video switchers
Hall Research Technologies has released the SW-DVI-2A and SW-DVI-4A DVI video switchers, which enable users to route multiple DVI-equipped devices to a single DVI display. The two-port SW-DVI-2A and four-port SW-DVI-4A (pictured here) are DVI 1.0-compliant, support DVI-I video signals at resolutions up to 1280×1024, and offer front-panel LED indicators. Cat5 switch platform
Magenta Research has introduced the Mondo Matrix full-matrix, scalable Cat5 switch platform, which can be configured in matrix sizes ranging from 16×16 to 256×256. The Mondo Matrix, which supports up to 2048×1536 resolution, links to the company’s MultiView Series transmitters and receivers to distribute and switch video (composite, component, S-video, HDTV, and computer), audio, and serial control signals up to 1,500 feet using one RJ45 connector per image. Digital audio console
Targeted for use in live applications, EAW’s UMX.96 24-bit/96 kHz digital audio console features expandable onboard 56×44 analog inputs/outputs, 3×12 integrated loudspeaker processing, a 15-inch, full-color touchscreen, and SIA Software’s Smaart Analysis tools. The UMX.96 offers 48 touch-sensitive faders arranged in stacked rows of 24, which provide dedicated control of all 48 input channels simultaneously or arranged as master groups of eight to control specific sections. Zoned lighting control system
Targeted for use in auditoriums, boardrooms, and classrooms, the iLux CLS-C6 Integrated Zoned Lighting System from Crestron controls six lighting zones and six groups of shades. The wall-mounted system features six three-position rocker buttons and builtin dimmer circuits to control the lighting zones, and can program up to 16 scenes for lighting and shade requirements. Fiber optic power meters
Designed for testing and troubleshooting active fiber optic devices and measuring direct optical power, Extech’s PM200, PM100-S, and PM100-G fiber optic power meters feature single-mode and multi-mode operation. The PM200 stores up to 100 data points and features a 65 dB dynamic range, four-button operation, and a 1 mm germanium photodetector. The PM100-S and PM100-G offer a 55 dB dynamic range and seven-segment LED power display in dB and dBm. VGA matrix switcher and temperature clock
Extron has released the MMX 32 VGA MTP, a compact, three-input, two output VGA and stereo audio matrix switcher, which features a built-in twisted pair transmitter for RGBHV and summed mono (L+R) audio. The matrix switcher (pictured here) can drive UXGA (1600×1200) computer video and audio signals more than 300 feet over a single UTP cable. Extron’s CLK 100 LCD Clock with Thermometer is designed to monitor ambient temperature within an equipment rack or room.
