Panamax Offers Free DVD for AV Pros

Panamax is offering a free power management training DVD to educate dealers and other AV professionals about AC power problems and solutions.

Panamax, a provider of AC power management solutions, is offering a free power management training DVD to educate dealers and other AV professionals about AC power problems and solutions.

Company officials said the DVD provides a history of Panamax and selling tips to help dealers and retailers convey the importance of power management, while also increasing their profit margins. Communication techniques and other practical tips are also discussed.

Panamax's DVD breaks its technologies into individual sections -- noise filtration, surge protection, battery backup, and system management -- for easy navigation. For example, the noise filtration section explores the sources of AC noise and its effects, with a focus on eliminating AC noise with Linear Filtration Technology (LiFT), isolated filtration banks, isolated transformers, and mechanical design.

"Whether you are an installer or retail staff at an electronics store, it is up to you to provide the customer with the best possible AV experience and the information they need to protect their investment and ensure optimal performance," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax and Furman. "To that end, our training DVD is an invaluable tool. Not only does it broaden their knowledge of power management in general, but it helps them determine the best solution based on the application."

The free training DVD became available to Panamax dealers through their sales representatives on April 24. Training videos will also be available on the company's Web site in the future.
