Q & A: Sports Bar Project

A. There are several manufacturers that produce products that serve this function. For this specific application, I would look at the Sprox SD4 Sounddog receiver. The SD4 is a four-channel receiver that operates in the 72 to 76 MHz band and has a 29-hour replaceable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery. The receiver, along with its low power transmitter, will enable the bar owner to broadcast up to four sources to a tabletop unit, which will provide patrons with source selection and master volume control.

Next month's question: I have a client who has adjacent rooms with serious crosstalk problems. Due to a sub-par partition between the rooms, the client can hear voices from the other room even when the audio system isn't being used. What measurements should I perform to select suitable acoustic panels to solve the problem?
