Sanyo Expands T Series Projectors

Sanyo announced two new additions to its T series of LCD projectors with higher resolution and increased luminance.

Sanyo announced two new additions to its T series of LCD projectors: the PLC-ET30L with SXGA+ resolution and the PLC-XT21/L with increased luminance over its predecessor.

With a full 1400 x 1050 resolution and 10-Bit digital gamma correction, the PLC-ET30L can project high definition images from almost any location, according to the company. Its 4200 lumens make it suitable for projecting PC-based presentations with high-quality graphics or high-resolution video.

The PLC-XT21/L has XGA resolution and is replacing the company’s PLC-XT20.

“These projectors are capable of delivering extremely bright images in environments that require a certain degree of ambient light, such as conference rooms and educational facilities,” said Mark Holt, vice president and general manager for Sanyo’s Presentation Technologies Division. “While both are considered high resolution projectors, the PLCET30L fills a specific niche as our only SXGA+ model in the T series line.”

Both projectors include the company’s PJ Network Interface for wired networking often found in Sanyo projectors. Each also has a One-Way Flow system that controls the cooling airflow with single intake and exhaust vent, and a filter warning alerts users to clean clogged filters.

Prices range from $4,495 to $6,995. Several optional modules are also available.
