SACO Smartvision Corp. recently completed five installations: in the Milwaukee Brewers’ Miller Park; Universal Studios in Florida and California; the Lakeland Center; Information Display Systems for the LPGA tour; and for Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. Miller Park features a 27×48-foot 30mm Smartvision display directly behind the centerfield wall. The display is flanked by large retractable panels that can be opened for an exterior view and create an open-air feeling in the stadium. Universal Studios chose two 8×12-foot 10mm Smartvision displays for its “Animal Planet Live” feature in Orlando and Hollywood. The displays show both prerecorded and live-action segments throughout the day.

Also home to Smartvision displays, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, incorporates the screens in its new show, Storm. The installation of the Lakeland Center’s 9×12-foot 15mm display was completed in just three weeks. USBL’s Lakeland Blue Dogs share the screen with other sporting competitions, family shows and concerts that come to the center. IDS provided the LPGA tour with two transportable 9×12-foot 15mm displays. The screens can be controlled via a wireless microwave production systems from a remote location on the golf course and can be used for on-course highlights, advertising, special features and scoring updates.
