Sony officials said the company would debut more than 10 new products at InfoComm 08.
Sony officials said the company would debut more than 10 new products at InfoComm 08 (booth 1500). A press conference was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
The company is also highlighting its full line of professional display technologies, including LCD business projectors, LCD displays, digital signage players and SXRD 4K projection technology. “These technologies and products are designed to fit virtually any professional presentation application, requirement and budget,” said Gene Savoie, director of Sony’s professional display group, in a statement.
In addition to display systems, Sony is also demonstrating high-definition videoconferencing technologies, visual imaging and professional audio products. Sony is showing its full line of LCD projectors, including its latest generation of the VPLE series, which features four new models, including Sony’s first compact widescreen version. Each is designed for commercial applications, and specifically suited for use in classrooms and conference rooms.
Also on display will be the VPL-FW300L (7,000 lumens) and the VPL-FH300L (6,000 lumens) projectors for commercial applications in larger venues, such as auditoriums, large classrooms and meeting rooms, museum exhibits, event centers, ballrooms and movie theaters for displaying pre-show content.
Sony is also showing several new LCD displays, including the GXD-L52H1 “ruggedized” 52-inch LCD housed in a dust- and tamper-resistant aluminum chassis, as well as other new models in different sizes and for different prices.
Complementing its displays is a full lineup of plug-in network cards and players-including the VSP-NS7 HD signage player-for digital signage applications in hotels, stadiums and airports, among others. These can be used to drive a complete IP-based digital signage network.
In InfoComm’s Large Venue Gallery area, Sony is featuring its SRX-S110 SXRD 4K projector, showing ongoing demos of film-originated and computer-generated footage, as well as multi-window HD image configurations, including the technology’s potential for sports book applications.
