VBrick Systems announced the availability of its newest networked video appliances, the VBrick 7000 and 8000 series.

VBrick Systems, a producer of streaming and online video systems and solutions, announced the availability of its newest networked video appliances, the VBrick 7000 and 8000 series (InfoComm booth N6841). The new H.264-based appliances are capable of supporting both standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) video delivery, allowing organizations to deliver high-quality video at any given bandwidth, company officials said.

“We pride ourselves in having delivered robust, feature-rich, and reliable products,” said Vince Graziani, CEO of VBrick Systems, in a statement. “At the same time, we understand that many of the new applications our customers are requesting, most notably high definition, require a fundamentally new architecture. With our customers’ needs in mind, we redesigned our core set of products to offer high definition, while keeping all of the cutting-edge product qualities that our customers have come to expect from VBrick.”

The VBrick H.264 appliance is the first in a series of products that will comply with the company’s new standards-based MicroTCA architecture. The product line will initially consist of two appliances–SD and HD–which will also be available as blades for VBrick’s MicroTCA high-density shelf, available first quarter 2009. All versions will offer features such as low delay encoding, multicasting, remote management, and enhanced quality for any given bandwidth.
