The Yamaha StagePas 500 portable PA system features two two-way loudspeakers and a 10-channel stereo-powered mixer. Each speaker contains a 10in. woofer and 1in. compression driver, driven by an efficient 250W (x2) Class D amplifier. The mixer features balanced XLR connectors, mic/line switches, balanced 1/4in. jacks, two-band channel EQ, and switchable 24-bit digital reverb. The first two channels feature a compressor/limiter switch that controls dynamics on those inputs. The easy-to-use 10-input, portable stereo PA is perfect for schools, churches, and corporate multimedia presentations. Stereo-out, monitor connections, and RCA connectors with separate level control for a tape recorder or a CD are located on the front panel.

The WideBand Solutions Simphonix Si-400 audioconferencing system uses the next generation of speech processing algorithms to accommodate the full range of human hearing — delivering clean, loud, and clear audio. The Simphonix Si-400 can function as a standalone solution or can be easily integrated into a larger, existing system. It incorporates technology from Wideband's WebCall WC301 product to turn hundreds of digital and VoIP telephones into high-quality conferencing systems. It features acoustic echo cancellation (AEC); noise reduction; auto-mixing with voice activity detection (VAD); digital, VoIP, and analog phone lines; crosspoint automatic gain control (AGC); web management; and voice reinforcement.

The Mackie VLZ3 compact mixer features the new studio-grade XDR2 extended dynamic range mic preamps, which boast a wider frequency range than their predecessors, including more detailed low-end extension, with less noise, even at very high gain settings. The new VLZ3 mixer also features a wider dynamic range, including better low-frequency response, with less than 0.0007 percent total harmonic distortion (THD) per channel. The mixer's EQ controls now operate more independently of each other, offering additional creative control over the full frequency range. The ultra-clean summing bus offers improved headroom and the ability to mix hotter signals together without clipping, even in extreme real-world applications.

RHAON (Renkus-Heinz powered loudspeaker Audio Operations Network) technology from Renkus-Heinz provides internal loudspeaker-specific DSP, up to 64 channels of digital audio distribution, and user control and monitoring of all vital aspects of the loudspeaker via standard Ethernet hardware, all over a single Cat-5 cable. The technology became a standard option in every new Renkus-Heinz powered loudspeaker beginning with the NSCA launch of the all-new Sygma SG series. During the course of 2007 all current Renkus-Heinz powered loudspeakers will be RHAON-enabled.

QSC's new HPR122i 500W powered loudspeaker is operable between 53Hz and 20kHz. It is equipped with a 12in. low-frequency driver featuring a 3in. voice coil and a neodymium magnet structure. The two-way enclosure features a compression driver with a 1.4in. diaphragm coupled to a 75-degree conical horn at the high end. The loudspeaker can be pole-mounted using a stand socket or flown with the aid of nine integral M10 suspension points, offering those who might be considering plastic-box speakers for nightclub, PA, or stage monitor applications an opportunity to upgrade to the professional performance and appearance of a higher-powered, plywood-enclosure system without paying a large weight and cost penalty.

Crown's new Cdi 4000 power amplifier can run low-impedance 2V, 4V, and 8V loads, as well as 70V and 140V outputs. It includes an intuitive front-panel LCD that allows installers to easily tailor system parameters for onboard loudspeaker processing (including crossovers, EQ, limiting, compression, and delay) and 20 user-defined DSP presets for easy recall of settings. The 19lb. amplifier is equipped with Crown's light and efficient universal switch-mode power supply and can be conveniently and reliably run using a standard 15-amp outlet.
