The DA-500F-HL and DA-550F are two additions to TOA Electronics' DA series of multichannel amplifiers. The new amps operate at 85-percent efficiency and consume almost one-third less power than conventional analog amplifiers. Lightweight and compact in size (only 2RU), the new DA-series amplifiers are ideal for multizone distributed speaker systems and professional sound applications. The new DA-500F-HL can drive both high- and low-impedance speaker loads with four channels of 500W at 70V or 550W at 8Ω. The low-impedance model DA-550F provides four channels of 550W at 4Ω or two channels of 1100W at 8Ω in bridged mode.

Its plug-and-play simplicity makes the Aviom AV-M8 mic input module ideal for distributing audio over Cat-5 in boardrooms and conference rooms. Using the fast audio transport protocol, A-Net converts eight analog audio channels to a digital stream and provides eight mic-level inputs. Two channels include a 30dB switchable pad, allowing line-level signals to be connected. Eight channels of digital audio may also be input via ADAT from a second AV-M8 module. Analog audio is input via eight latching 5mm Euroblock connectors. Each analog input channel features a set of configuration DIP switches for individually selectable gain settings, +48V phantom power, and low-cut filter.
