The MXL 604 dual capsule instrument miking system consists of a pressure gradient microphone with an interchangeable omnidirectional capsule and a cardioid condenser. It features a -10dB attenuation switch for better handling of high sound pressure levels, along with selectable low-frequency roll-off capability to compensate for proximity effect or to eliminate wind noise during outdoor recording. The mic's transformerless design provides a solid bottom and an extremely open top-end sound, according to the company. It is internally wired with Mogami cable for sonic integrity, and is supplied with a mic clip, a windscreen, and a wood storage box.

The Danley Sound Labs SH-50 three-way loudspeaker performs well in tightly packed arrays to offer practically seamless overlap regions. The speaker combines a single 1in. high-frequency driver with four 5in. midrange units and a pair of 12in. woofers. The unit generates up to 132dB SPL with a recommended 1600W power input, operating across a frequency range of 28Hz to 100Hz (-3dB) with a sensitivity of 100dB SPL. The speaker combines the company's patent-pending tapped and synergy horns for a solid response to 50Hz, thus allowing the SH-50 to be used as a standalone product in applications where additional subwoofers are not physically or financially viable.

The QSC DCS series surround loudspeakers include the SR-18, the SR-110B, the SR-26 (pictured), and the SR-46. The compact SR-18 features a high-power, long-throw 8in. low-frequency transducer, while the SR-110B offers a high-power, long-throw 10in. low-frequency transducer. Both feature a 95-degree horizontal by 85-degree vertical dispersion pattern. The SR-26 and SR-46 speakers ensure that audiences hear a properly diffuse sound field, instead of localized sources, regardless of how close they are seated to the setup, according to the company. The SR-26 features two high-power, long-throw 6.5in. low-frequency transducers, and the SR-46 is designed with four high-power, long-throw 6.5in. woofers. Both models feature a 90-degree horizontal by 50-degree vertical dispersion pattern.

Klipsch's new narrow-profile, four-way KPT-545-4-Q loudspeaker system offers dynamic sound from a shallow cabinet (less than 24in. deep). The KPT-XII-MB 12in., Tractrix horn-loaded mid-bass device aids a high-efficiency KPT-415-LF quad 15in. bass unit that offers low-frequency punch. The KPT-402-MF Tractrix horn and K-1133 2in.-exit titanium compression driver effortlessly reproduce the mid frequencies. For an added kick, the KPT-Grand-HF-T extended high-frequency horn module handles the system's smooth treble reproduction. A KPT-545-4-N configuration provides a mid/high passive crossover for a tri-amp setup.

Audix's 50in. MicroBoom carbon fiber boom arm was designed for use with the Micros series of miniature condensers. The arm features a diameter of less than .3in. and a weight of only 2.5oz., and it can be used in either a horizontal or vertical position. A mini-XLR connector on the boom holds the microphone securely in place and allows for easy access when changing out microphones. The boom's stand adapter provides control over the angle, rotation, and position of the carbon fiber rod. A flexible metal gooseneck allows users to adjust the angle and position of the microphone.

EV's new NetMax N8000 modular digital audio system controller can be configured in the field to one of six matrix layouts. Users can network multiple units together in comprehensive systems, with up to 32 channels of digital audio available per chassis. CobraNet functionality can also be added to any configuration. The system provides a dynamic range of more than 118dB and optional extended processing power of up to 1000 MIPS per unit. The system works in conjunction with the company's IRIS-Net audio control software platform to allow system designers to control nearly every element in the audio signal chain.

Summit Audio's FeQ-50 parametric equalizer features four bands, each with six switch-selectable frequencies and fully sweepable gain of ±14dB with a center detent at 0dB. The low and high bands feature peaking or shelving select; the middle two bands feature wide and narrow switches. The fully passive high-pass filter has a knee at 80Hz with a rolloff of 6dB per octave. The equalizer features XLR balanced and 1/4in. unbalanced inputs on a Neutrik combo jack and balanced +4dB XLR and balanced -10dB TRS for the solid-state and tube signal paths. All of the paths are individually buffered and can be used simultaneously.

Independent Audio's compact Pearl Lab OM 16 omnidirectional microphone features a transformerless circuit design that requires 48V phantom power. The mic has a very flat frequency response, with a boost from 5kHz to 12kHz of 3dB at 8kHz.
